The game of golf that has been played now for at least six centuries and has approx 100 million followers world wide, is starting to gain popularity in Bulgaria, at the moment though there are not many courses available to the golfer, Ihtiman and Ravno not far from Sofia and Sliven, approx 90kms from the coast, were three of the first to open.

But things are moving in the right direction and the country now has its first indoor golf centre as well, offering the opportunity for all golfers to practice the game no matter what the weather. The Bulgarian Golf Association has also been accepted as members to the International Golf Federation, which means the country, can now participate in International events.  

But the best news however, is that several more golf courses are proposed, both inland and on the black sea coast, and some of them are already under construction. Please check the courses available from the list below.
