From the magnificent landscapes and mountain villages of the Pyrenees to the mighty Sierra Nevada in Andalusia, visitors will find the resorts of Spain all perfectly equipped, have excellent communications and are exceptional in terms of both infrastructure and access.

From the moment the skiing season ends in spring, through to the following December, the ski resorts undergo continuous renovation, with work on lifts, pistes, machinery, accommodation and services.   The attention of quality, experienced instructors, along with modern facilities, make Spanish resorts ideal for children, youngsters and adults.

There are approx, 850 kms of ski runs in the Spanish mountains, ideal for beginners and experienced skiers alike, however those, which require greater skill, are Baqueira Beret in the Catalan Pyrenees, and Sierra Nevada in Andalusia. Those concentrated in the Aragonese Pyrenees generally require an intermediate level. The rest are scattered throughout the country, and are ideal for long stays or visitors who wish to combine skiing with other activities such as ice skating, hot-air ballooning, rafting, horseback riding, cannoning, climbing, canoeing, ski-dooing, Para-skiing and heli-skiing to mention just a few.

There are many other tourist attractions to be found on a Spanish ski holiday, as well as the lively nightlife at the resorts themselves with restaurants, bars and nightclubs, not surprising then, that Spain’s ski resorts received more than six million visitors last season.

The Spanish resorts are best serviced by flights to Granada and Malaga for the Sierra Nevada, while Barcelona, Zaragoza, Girona and Toulouse airports are favoured for the Catalan Pyrenees region.

We wish everyone a good time but please take care while on holiday because accidents do happen and if you decide to participate in Winter Sports, remember you do so entirely at your own risk.

Skiing and Snowboarding have many dangers, and it is your responsibility to understand and accept them before participating.

We would also remind you that travel insurance is essential and must be checked for details about sports and activities.
