Introduction:

Second Beach Apartment is a two bedroom apartment, located in Altinkum,s resort center, close to bars, restaurants and beaches. The apartment is fully air conditioned thus cool in summer and warm in winter. There is a fully equipted kitchen. The bedrooms are large enough to comfortably accommodate travel cots should they be required (available to rent at an extra cost). The apartment has one double bedroom, (king size bed) with an en-suit shower room and one twin bedroom. Both bedrooms have air conditioning. There is also a large family bathroom with bath and shower and a small en-suit shower room. All laundry and linen is new and included in the price of the apartment. Car rental can be arranged at reasonable rates on a daily or weekly basis.

The local bus (called a dolmus) runs past the apartment every few minutes and will take you to the old town of Didim, the fantastic weekly bazaar, the ancient Greek  temple of Apollon or the sleepy village of Yesilkent with its own quiet sandy secluded beaches - all for pennies.

"Altinkum" translated means "Golden Sands" and the resort was named due to the miles of golden sands around the Didim coastline. There are beaches for all along the Didim coastline - from the very famous "First Beach" in the center of Altinkum, to quiet sandy coves, water sports beaches and beaches for barbequing and picnicking. All of the main beaches have Blue Flag awards and benefit from slopes and tame waves - ideal for children.

Many of our renters do not go anywhere other than the immediate facility as there is so much to do on the door step of the apartment. For those that are more adventurous there are water sports in Altinkum and jeep safaris and there are plenty of travel agencies where visitors can make bookings for day trips and short breaks within Turkey.

Altinkum, Didim is located on the Aegean Coast of Turkey - equidistance between the larger resorts of Kusadasi and Bodrum. The area is well connected with motorways and a superb bus system that can take one anywhere in this vast country.

Altinkum, Didim is a short drive from several archaeological sites, including The Ancient Greek Temple of Apollo, actually located in Didim as well as nearby, Miletos, Prienne, Herakalia, Ephesus (which houses one of the Seven Wonders of The World) as well as being close to Izmir, Turkey,s 3rd largest city and location for EXPO 2015.

Living Room: The lounge is open, light and airy. It has 2 double sofa beds. There is a colour TV with DVD player.

Kitchen: The kitchen is open onto the lounge and dining area. The kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, oven and hob, toaster and kettle. There is a washing machine, clothes drier, iron and ironing board.

Dining: There is a dining area of the lounge / kitchen in which there are ‘garden’ table and chairs to serve as a dining table. Alternatively, the table and chairs can be positioned on the balcony which leads off of the kitchen / dining area.

Services: Didim Sun Properties will shop for a welcome pack, at the clients request and at an additional charge (details available upon request). Linen and laundry is included at the apartment. Please bring your own beach towels. Travel cots and high chairs available upon request at a charge of £20 each per week. Didim Sun Properties will assist with arrangements for special events eg birthdays, anniversaries, with prior notice.

Outside Property: Within the apartment grounds, there is a small communal garden and a large communal swimming pool. Just outside the apartment grounds, there are, literally on the doorstep, a wide choice of hotels with public pools to choose from, the beaches, small corner shops, chemists, bars and restaurants.

Suitability: The area is suitable for all parties except those who want a ‘get away from it all’ holiday. Due to the close proximity of everything, the apartment is very popular with families with young children (beaches so close by), older people (everything on the flat and within a short walking distance), young groups (several nightclubs within a few minutes walk and The Medusa Open Air Nightclub very close by) and couples.

How to Get There: By air: Nearest airports – 1) Bodrum and 2) Izmir. Airport transfers (private or public) are available upon request from Izmir and Bodrum airports. By Road: Altinkum, Didim is located on the Aegean Coast of Turkey, between Kuşadasi and Bodrum. Car hire available from Izmir and Bodrum airports and also from Altinkum (details available upon request).

Booking Conditions: £100 (non-refundable) booking deposit required to secure booking. Balance due with 6 months of booking OR one week before rental term to commence (whichever is the earlier). £100 (refundable) key/ damages deposit required before OR at the time of the booking commencing. This is refunded in full when the client leaves the property in the condition it was found. If damage has occurred to the property whilst a client is staying, the cost of making good the damage will be taken from the £100 key/ damages money. The cost of water, electricity and cleaning the apartment AFTER the clients leave is included with the price. There is no laundry service or cleaning service during the time that a client stays in the apartment.
